Junior Cristian Vozza Lobbies NJ Congress
Posted on 06/27/2019
Cristian Vozza '20 recently participated in the NJ YMCA State Advocacy Day, in which a select few students were chosen to lobby and speak on behalf of the YMCA at the NJ State Congress. Vozza lobbied for bills on child care subsidies and healthy options at corner stores throughout the state. He also proposed a bill that extends the period of time for tax credits for certain expenses to be applied to the productions of films and digital media content. This is a topic of particular importance to him, as a performer and patron of the arts. "I felt as though it’s a necessary investment for New Jersey not just for cultural growth but economic growth as well, as films and the arts in general provide jobs and opportunities for many."
