Emma Boslet '20 Sets STA Scoring Record

It was a record-setting week for senior Emma Boslet as she broke both the girls scoring record and the overall scoring record to become the highest point earner in St. Thomas Aquinas/Bishop Ahr High School history.

The senior set a new career scoring record for the girls basketball program on Tuesday night when she scored her 1,565th point against Sayreville. With her 14-point performance she was just 29 points shy of becoming the school's all-time leading scorer for both boys and girls basketball. 

Boslet scored 15 points in a win over J.F. Kennedy on Thursday, and on Saturday she scored 20 points and became the Trojans' all-time leading scorer, surpassing 2007 graduate Corey Francisco, who held the previous record with 1,593 points.

Boslet, a four-year varsity starter, is averaging over 17 points per game this season for the Trojans. The Home News Tribune Girls Basketball Player of the Year for the 2018-19 season, she averaged 14.5 points, 8.6 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 3.2 steals per game as a junior and helped lead St. Thomas Aquinas to its first GMC Tournament title since 2001.
