Sports Highlights for the Week of September 27

The gymnastics team moved to 4 - 0 after putting up wins against the Piscataway Chiefs 97.85 - 91.45 and the Summit Hilltoppers 108.225 - 100.00. Against Piscataway, the team took three of four events and against Summit the team swept all four individual events and the All-Around with Nina Sangiuliano in 1st, Annika Zavalla in 2nd, and Armanii Agarwala was 3rd.

The girls volleyball team improved to 11-1, eclipsing their 10-win mark from last season in a victories against Highland Park and Monroe. Olivia Alicante led the way offensively for the week with 15 kills against Monroe. Madyson Epps had a team high 6 blocks. Both of those numbers were good enough for the second highest total by any player in the state of New Jersey yesterday in their respective categories.

The boys cross country team defeated Piscataway, with a score of 26 to 29. Alex Cocuzza, Neal Choksi went one, two in the race and Shane Samuel finished fourth. Also a strong showing from freshmen Reed Kerstetter, and Kazimer Begonja finishing 9th and 10th.

The girls soccer team improved to 7-2 with a 2-1 win over Iselin Kennedy. Both goals were put in by Kayla Foley. Goalie Alessandra Socio recorded two saves.
