The Fine Arts at St. Thomas Aquinas High School

The various performing arts programs at St. Thomas Aquinas High School are some of the most popular activities, offering students opportunities to discover and develop a love for performing and creating music together. These activities and classes also provide a wonderful opportunity for students to gather together to achieve a common goal, and to make life-long friendships. Every student who attends STA is eligible to join the Drama and Music Departments.

Our music season runs year-round, with our Marching Band/Color Guard meeting during the Summer and our vocal and instrumental concert ensembles continue working all school-year long. During that time, we present two major concerts: In December, our choirs and bands perform in the annual Christmas Concert, and in late April/early May the same groups perform the Annual Spring Concert.

Our theatre season starts in July and runs until the beginning of April. During that time, we present three major productions and sometimes four. In September, a selection from our Shakespeare and the Classics program is performed. Often, the fall offerings will also include a night of One-Act plays. In November, we perform a small cast production. And in March and April, a large-cast musical is staged.
