This year’s recipients for the Greater Middlesex County Sportsmanship Award are Lia Acosta and JaQuan Harris. Why? They both listen and try not to take the coach’s criticism personally. They trust their coaches who are experienced and know what is best for the team. They have faith in the fact that if you work hard you will improve. They interact with their teammates and always encourage them. Lia and JaQuan‘s goals were always to be the BEST TEAMMATES! They have represented their families and their school. They have never lost self-control, and were never disrespectful. They have always carried themselves with class. They are student athletes of extremely high character. They are what high school sports are all about. They both lead in their own ways. They never let their teammates get down on themselves and they always demonstrate a positive attitude.
