Boys Basketball Team Ends GMC Championship Drought
Posted on 02/29/2020
The boys basketball team exceeded lofty expectations this season, ending a championship drought and helping to make school history by ending the season with championship wins by both the girls and boys teams after a 63-52 victory over South Brunswick.

Senior Quadry Adams was the fan-pleasing offensive leader for the Trojans, but Derrick Grant was the terminator in the lane early in the game. Each both set an opposing but fully effective tone to lead the Trojans to victory over fourth-seeded South Brunswick before a jam-packed audience at Middlesex County College.

Adams, who was named the game MVP, missed Tuesday’s semifinals with a knee injury, but still managed to score a team-high 17 points while Grant scored 13 and did his business inside with 12 rebounds and six blocks.
