Maguire and Pittari Earn GMC Scholar-Athlete Award

The Greater Middlesex Conference once again recognized Scholar Athletes at its annual banquet, honoring students who shine on the playing field while also excel in their academics and volunteer work. From Bishop Ahr High School, Seniors Morgan Maguire and Ryan Pittari were chosen for having stood out from the crowd.

Maguire graduated from BGA with a 4.3 GPA and as a member of the National Honor Society, Math Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, and Science Honor Society. She was a member of the Peer Leadership program and played on the Varsity basketball and soccer teams throughout her four years of high school. She was a two-year starter and earned four varsity letters on the basketball team and was a two-year starter and earned three varsity letters on the soccer team. She will be attending Villanova University in the fall. She plans on majoring in Mathematics and playing club soccer or basketball.

Pittari graduated from BGA with a 4.6 GPA and has been accepted into 9 schools with scholarships totaling over half a million dollars. He was a member of the National Honor Society, Science Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, and Math Honor Society as well as a member of Peer Leadership. He was a member of the Varsity soccer, baseball, and basketball teams and received Varsity letters for all three. Ryan has performed over 200 hours of community service during his 4 years of high school. He will be attending Drew University in the fall as an Honors Scholar where he will play baseball and major in Economics with a minor in Math.
