The Bishop Ahr High School Class of 2019 celebrated the completion of the puzzle that it has been creating for the last four years with one last piece: graduation.

The ceremony began with speeches by Salutatorian Arnav Bhavsar and Valedictorian Isabella Adorable. Arnav shared his appreciation with his fellow classmates for the countless memories and shared experiences in both good times and bad. Adorable, as she looked out on the rest of the Class of 2019, said that she was she was in awe of the unique gifts and abilities that she sees and advised students put 100% of their effort into their future endeavors.

Following a musical interlude of "Go the Distance" by the Senior choir students, degrees were conferred by Bishop James Checchio and students moved their tassels from right to left, signifying the end of their high school journey at BGA.

The ceremony continued with words of reflection by Senior class President Sasha Pierre and Secretary/Treasurer Aryana Dehghan. Principal Sister Donna Marie Truchowski then  congratulated the Class of 2019, reminding them that they always have a home at BGA and that the most important thing they can do as they go out into the world is to love themselves. Bishop James Checchio concluded the ceremony by adding his congratulations and said that he is always uplifted by being at BGA and hoped that these students would bring that hope and light into the world, turning away from the cynicism and darkness that is so pervasive in today's world.

The graduating class, of which 98% will be attending college in the fall, has earned over $35 million in scholarships and will be attending 74 different universities in 14 different states.
