Students Pack 400 Lunches for TASK
Posted on 10/24/2018
On Tuesday, October 23rd Bishop Ahr High School held the “Rose Czajkowski” lunch packing. Rose passed away in August and her children Patricia Fabino (BGA/STA ’74), Linda Czajkowski (BGA Teacher) and John Czajkowski (BGA ’84) wanted to do something in her honor. Because their mom was such a loving, caring and compassionate woman, her children made donations in Rose’s honor to the BGA Christian Social Action Club. All of the supplies for the October 23rd lunch packing were purchased with the Rose Czajkowski donations.

For this lunch packing, 52 Bishop Ahr students, Sister Cynthia, Mr. John Roche, Mr. Kevin Mc McCarthy, Mr. Harry Ziegler, Ms. Liz Savner, Mrs. Karen Wilton, Ms. Grace Alexander, Mrs. Lynne Braine, Mrs. Dorothy Machovic, Mr. John Tocci, Mr. Greg Brooks, Father Keith Cervine, Mr. Michael Wolfthal, and Rose’s children put together 400 bagged lunches for the CSAC “CHANGE” the World Project. Into each bag of lunch was put a sandwich, a napkin, 2 snack items, a bottle of water, and lots of love.

The week before, 25 freshmen had stayed after school and decorated each bag with positive thoughts. On Wednesday, October 24th the lunches were delivered to TASK (Trenton Area Soup Kitchen, Trenton, NJ) by the BGA maintenance staff.

Before beginning the project, the group prayed, thanking God for Rose and asking God’s blessings on those who would receive the lunch bags and also on all who made the sandwiches and donated the money for the supplies.
