Six Athletes Sign D1

Athletes Emma Boslet, Kelsey Ransom, Alyssa DeJianna, Megan Herka, Quadry Adams, and Derrick Grant made the big D1 commitment on November 14, which is National Signing Day. Read more about these outstanding student athletes.

Emma Boslet – Basketball – St. Joseph University
Emma is a three-year varsity starter and two-year captain along with being a high Honors student. She was a 1000 point scorer as a sophomore with a current career total of 1445 points after 3 seasons. She is 118 points away from the school's All Time Leading Scorer and holds the record for most career 3-pointers. She was an All-Division 
selection for the 2016-17, 2017-18, and 2018-19 seasons as well as a unanimous All-Conference selection in 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons. Emma was chosen as a NJ Sports Zone All-State selection in 2018-19, 2nd team all non public, Greater Middlesex Conference Final MVP, and the Home News Tribune player of the year.

Kelsey Ransom – Basketball – Georgetown University
Kelsey is a current 1000-point scorer. She has a current total of 1287 career points after three seasons. She was selected 2nd team all Non-Public in 2018-19. She was also selected All-White division and a unanimous All-Conference selection in the Greater Middlesex County Conference 2018-19. She is also a two time selection to the NJ Sports Zone All-State list in 2017-18 and 2018-19. Kelsey was also the nj.com Middlesex County Player of the year in 2018-19 averaging 17 points and 17 rebounds per game.

Megan Herka – Softball – Rutgers University
Megan is a three-year varsity starter at first base. She was selected as a member of the All-Division and All-Conference teams all three years. As a sophomore, she was chosen as the nj.com Middlesex County Player of the year, as well as Jersey Sports Player of the Week and 2nd team Non-Public. As a junior, Megan was selected as a first team All-State player and the nj.com Middlesex 
County Player of the year for the second consecutive year. Megan has over 100 career hits and has broken several school records throughout her career. Megan holds the school record for single season home runs with 12, career home runs with 24, walks in a single season with 37, the highest single season on base percentage at .795, and the highest single season batting average at .640.

Alyssa DeJianne – Softball – Iona College
Alyssa is a three-year varsity starter. As a junior, she was selected to the All-Division and All-Conference team. Alyssa was the Home News Tribune Greater Middlesex Conference player of the year. She was also named the 2019 Greater Middlesex Conference Tournament MVP. As a pitcher, Alyssa has 291 career strikeouts. In addition to all her athletic accomplishments, Alyssa is an outstanding student who is currently enrolled in three AP classes and has a 4.63 GPA.

Quadry Adams – Basketball – Wake Forest University
Quadry is a two-year varsity starter and will be one of this year's captains. He currently has a career total of 739 points leaving him 261 points away from becoming a 1000 point scorer. He was an All-Division selection as well as a unanimous All Greater Middlesex County Conference selection for the 2018-19 season. Quadry was chosen for and participated in the Steph Curry Select Camp held in Oakland California this past summer. The SC30 Select Camp is a basketball showcase comprised of 30 elite players from across the country that have different backgrounds and skillsets. Quadry also excels in the classroom, where he currently has a NCAA Qualifying GPA of 3.2. He will be taking his talents to Wake Forest University in the fall on a full athletic scholarship.

Derrick Grant, Jr. – Basketball – Southern New Hampshire University
Derrick played a major role in last year's successful season. He averaged a double-double (10.8 points per game and 10.1 rebounds per game) and was an All-Division selection for the 2018-19 season. The 273 rebounds in 27 games, is a schools single season record. 
Derrick exemplifies the true meaning of Student/Athlete and has become a tremendous role model for our program. He currently has a NCAA Qualifying GPA of 3.6 and is a member of the Peer Leadership Program. Derrick will be attending Southern New Hampshire University on a full athletic scholarship next year.
