Sports Highlights for the Weeks of 4/15 & 4/22

On Friday, April 13, the Boys Golf team won against South River with a score of 235-250.

Also on Friday, the Boys Varsity Tennis team defeated South Amboy with a score of 4-1.

On Monday, April 16, the Girls Varsity Softball team won against Woodbridge High School with a score of 14-2.

On Tuesday, April 17, the Girls Varsity Softball team defeated John F. Kennedy High School with a score of 6-0.

On Wednesday, April 18, the Girls Varsity Softball team defeated Perth Amboy with a score of 15-0.

Also on Wednesday, the Boys Golf team won against the Timothy Christian School with a score of 146-153.

On Saturday, April 21, the Varsity Softball team won both games in a double-header, the first by a score of 5-1 against J.P. Stevens and the second 10-0 against Spotswood. In the second game, Megan Herka went 3 for 3 with 2 home runs. Alyssa DeJianne pitched the full game, striking out eight, after pitching in relief that morning.

On Monday, April 23, the Varsity Softball team defeated Sayreville High School 13-2. Megan Herka went 3 for 3 with 2 home runs and 6 RBI's. Katie Either earned the win, striking out six and allowing only three hits.

On Monday, April 23, the JV Softball team also defeated Sayreville by a score of 21 to 2. Christine Iko and Jackie Columbus both went 3 for 3 and Brianna Fontanilla went 4 for 4 with two triples.

On Thursday, April 26, the Baseball team defeated Carteret 6-4 on a home run by Harry Allegre.

On Thursday, April 26, the Varsity Softball team solidified its grip on the Greater Middlesex Conference White Division in a 10th-inning win over South Plainfied 2-0. Katie Eicher allowed one hit, walked two and struck out six in four innings. Alyssa DeJianne allowed one hit, walked one and struck out nine in six innings.
