Students Begin Advent with Togetherness

Students welcomed the Advent season at the second annual overnight Advent Retreat, aptly titled "Lit: Living in Togetherness." Participants embarked on a spiritual journey within the familiar walls of St. Thomas Aquinas High School. This unique was an immersive experience, fostering a sense of community and friendship while deepening participants' faith in anticipation of Christmas. Attendees engaged in a series of reflective sessions, communal activities, and prayerful moments designed to enhance their spiritual connection and prepare their hearts for the arrival of Christ.

"Our 'Lit' (Living in Togetherness) Advent retreat was a wonderful opportunity for students to take a pause from everyday life, unplug, and spend some time being renewed and refreshed by the Lord and in spending time with one another," shared Mr. Mike Lewon, Campus Minister.

As part of the retreat, participants stayed overnight at the school, creating an environment conducive to deepening spiritual connections and forging friendships that will extend beyond the retreat itself. Students were able to hear faith-enriching talks, spend time in discussion groups, and pray with our music ministry during Eucharistic Adoration. It was a chance to really focus in on the coming of Christ at Christmas by focusing on Him as the Light of the World coming amid the darkness we may face in our own lives.
