“El Hambo” is a 1996 composition by Jaako Mäntyjärvi. According to the composer, “The text of El Hambo does not and is not intended to mean anything, with the sole exception of the single word hambo, which is a Swedish folk dance… Sources of inspiration for this piece include, surprisingly, genuine Norwegian choral folk song arrangements and the Swedish Chef in The Muppet Show.”
