Welcome to St. Thomas Aquinas High School

Where "Aquinas Excellence" is at the heart of our commitment to providing a Catholic education of the highest quality.

As a leading college preparatory school with a legacy spanning over five decades, we pride ourselves on our proven track record, dedicated faculty, and unwavering focus on academic success and personal growth. Rooted in Catholic values and the teachings of our namesake St. Thomas Aquinas, our curriculum integrates faith and learning, fostering moral and ethical development. Along with the latest technology and teaching methods, we create an academic environment that promotes the highest level of personal achievement.
Located in Edison, New Jersey, STA has cultivated an environment where students thrive academically, spiritually, athletically, artistically, and socially. Our experienced administrative team and committed teaching staff work tirelessly to create a supportive and dynamic learning environment. As we look to the future, we are excited about the continuous growth and opportunities that we will provide for our students.

What Does It Mean to Be a Trojan?

Being a Trojan means embodying a spirit of creativity and innovation, constantly seeking new ways to solve problems and improve the world around us.
It means being engaged and well-rounded, balancing academics with extracurricular activities and personal interests.
As Trojans, we are compassionate and dedicated to service, always looking for ways to help others and make a positive impact.
We are respectful, upholding the highest standards of integrity and honor.
And Trojans are academics-oriented and values-driven, striving for excellence in all we do, guided by a strong moral compass.

We Continue to Build On Decades of Excellence

Aquinas Excellence St. Thomas Aquinas High School offers a curriculum that includes Advanced Placement (AP®) courses, honors classes, and dual enrollment opportunities with local colleges. Many students graduate having earned college credits from the courses they took while at STA. And comprehensive college counseling program, in collaboration with teachers and coaches, ensures that students are well-prepared for the college admissions process. 100% of STA students are accepted into colleges and nearly two-thirds accept scholarships in excess of the four-year STA tuition.
Serving With Wisdom St. Thomas Aquinas High School promotes a strong sense of community service and morality through service projects, volunteer opportunities, retreats, partnerships with local organizations, and the lessons taught in every classroom. Students average over 150 hours of service during their time at STA. And STA was the first youth-based organization to earn the Community Service Award from the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen.
Trojans Never Yield The Trojans athletics teams boast countless records and championships at the division, county, and state levels. Our teams’ remarkable success is achieved through a steadfast commitment from our coaches to instilling values of teamwork, sportsmanship, leadership, and academic excellence that develop not just the athlete but the overall individual as well.
One Trojan Family Spend a day at STA and you’ll leave with the feeling that permeates our school: family. Small class sizes, mentoring programs, activities, numerous clubs, and our award-winning performing arts programs promote a sense of welcome and community.
