Since its inception in 1987, the Aquinas Star program has embodied the spirit of "One Trojan Family" by uniting the St. Thomas Aquinas High School community to support a chronically or terminally ill child. This cherished program is designed to offer comprehensive financial, spiritual, emotional, and community support throughout the year. Every Aquinas Star and their family are embraced as integral members of our STA family, receiving unwavering prayers, love, and encouragement from us all.
And so we are honored to announce the Aquinas Stars for the 2024-25 school year: Allison Henry and Robert Meade.
Allison (Allie) Henry is 3 years old. She has hydrocephalus, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, cortical vision impairment, and hip dysplasia. Allie lives in Bridgewater with her mom, dad, and big sister, Lillian.
Robert (RJ) Meade is 1 year old and was diagnosed with leukemia in May. He is currently receiving chemotherapy treatments and has a long road ahead. He lives in Mt. Olive with his mom and dad, Robert Meade ‘10 and Caroline Langowski Meade ‘10, and big sister Savannah.
Being an Aquinas Star means more than receiving help; it means joining a compassionate family that rallies around them with open arms. It's our honor and privilege to walk alongside these brave individuals, offering a year of hope, encouragement, and heartfelt support. We invite our students, families, alumni, and community members to join us in rallying with and praying for Allie and RJ.
The first event of the year will be the Aquinas Star Spaghetti Dinner on Thursday, October 10 from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Plans are under way to make this the biggest and most memorable welcome for our Aquinas Stars we've ever seen and we hope you will be able to join us as we show our Aquinas Stars and their loved ones what it means to be a part of One Trojan Family.
